The World´s Best Speaker Anat Gelber won the title of 'World´s Best Speaker' in the World´s Universities Debating Championship in Dublin, Ireland. On her way to the title, she delivered speeches on a variety of subjects such as the situation in Pakistan, nuclear energy, the right for fertility treatment, animal rights and immigration. According to Gelber, in order to succeed in a competition of this sort 'one must have not only good rhetorical capabilities, but also extensive knowledge of current affairs'. Anat is a brilliant, proficient and highly professional lecturer. Lecture Topics: How to speak in front of an audience and convince your listeners: The lecture covers the three basic elements that determine the quality of a speech: 1. Context (the circumstances in which the speech is delivered - time during the day, target audience, the stage setup etc.) 2. Content (the arguments and messages incorporated in the speech) 3. Style (the speaker´s manner - body language, voice, tempo etc.). At the end of the lecture you will get tips and recommendations that will help you to be more persuasive the next time you speak to an audience. Anat Gelber also conducts executive workshops: These workshops provide participants with theoretical and practical tools that will enable them to deliver better speeches. You will learn the basics of a persuasive speech (i.e. well developed arguments, a clear logical flow between arguments, structure etc.), as well as ways to communicate your message more effectively (correct body language, tone and tempo, maintaining eye contact etc.). In addition, rhetorical games will train you in the practical use of these tools to ensure they are assimilated and available for your use. Participants will learn how to prepare for a speech, write it and convincingly deliver it.
