Game theory is often described as a branch of applied mathematics and economics that studies situations where players interact with each other and must choose different actions in an attempt to maximize their returns. Game theory teaches that when making a decision, you must keep in mind that you are not alone, that there are other parties involved and that they are at least as egotistic and as smart as you are.
